How it all started…
Shalisha has always loved the arts. Throughout her entire childhood, she could consistently be found at her piano practicing music or at her art desk drawing a picture.

During high school, she realized that she wanted to pursue a career in the arts, but had trouble deciding on which type of art to give her full attention. Although she loved drawing and participating in theatre productions, she ultimately chose to study music primarily. She was highly influenced by her teachers who had fueled her love and passion for these talents, and she realized early in her college education that she wanted to teach as well! However, the traditional method of teaching full-time at a school was never her main goal. Through her now decades of learning and experience, she has been able to fulfill her dream of building a life where she works fully in the arts through several different avenues and opportunities! While she currently holds positions at both Lifehouse Church and Hagerstown Community College, her work for Third Art is her favorite thing to do! She spends much of her time teaching and working on commissions and projects at home with her Shetland Sheepdog, Oliver, and in her free time she plays MarioKart online with her husband Josh and enjoys being a food blogger on Instagram.
