“Shalisha offers friendly and helpful vocal instruction suitable for both children and adult learners. Shalisha gave me tools and exercises to move my voice forward, improve my vocal mix, extend my vocal range and increase my vocal stamina. Shalisha educates me on the goal and purpose of a vocal exercise and empowers me to explore and experiment with my voice on my own. I have learned and continue to learn a lot.

“I have had the privilege of working with Shalisha through workshops and under her leadership for several musical theater projects. Shalisha is extremely knowledgeable in her craft and was able to share that knowledge with both students and adults of all ability levels.

Those who attended her workshops were able to walk away with skills to prepare for them for current and future audition opportunities. While working under her leadership for various theater projects, Shalisha was extremely organized and had a great attention to detail. Her organization helped the programs run smoothly for not only the students but also her staff and parents. Shalisha was easy to get in touch with and was prompt at answering questions. Shalisha was also able to get several grants funded to bring live theater to our city for children for free during the summer months. Shalisha would be a huge asset to anyone in need of workshops or leadership in the arts community.”

“Shalisha Kerr is an incredible artist & teacher with so many different skill sets. Aside from the extensive amount of music knowledge she has taught me personally, I wanted to share a story of the artistry she offered for my wedding. I dreamed of having movie couples as our table centerpieces, but I didn’t just want pictures – I wanted them to be drawings. Our engagement timeline was very quick, so I knew it was a lot to ask – but she completed 19 very detailed pencil drawings in only a handful of months. Not only did they make our reception unique, but they were a huge wow factor as people walked around & observed them. They now hang on the wall going up our staircase at home and are always a show stopper to anyone who comes in; and use it as an opportunity to direct people to her for their art needs!”

“As an avid presenter and performer, I care very much about impact and presentation. I have called on, collaborated with, and depended on the professionalism of Shalisha (and Third Art) to elevate several of my endeavors. Organization, acute attention to detail, and a tenacious pursuit of excellence is all you will ever get from her.”

My elementary aged daughter, who otherwise lacks commitment, willingly practices and prepares for her voice lessons with Ms. Shalisha. She teaches more than how to sing but also how to emote, how to articulate words and thoughts, showmanship and the art of storytelling and effective communication through song. My daughter’s confidence in singing and in life have grown since starting voice lessons with Ms. Shalisha.”
